How to Create a Full Backup in cPanel

  1. Log in to your hosting control panel (cPanel access is provided in your service details/welcome email).

  2. In cPanel, search for Backup or Backup Wizard (exact wording depends on theme).

  3. Choose Full Backup.

  4. Select Home Directory as the destination (recommended).

  5. Enter an email address (optional) to be notified when the backup finishes.

  6. Start the backup.

  7. Wait for the backup to complete:

    1. Large accounts can take time depending on size.

  8. Download the backup file:

    1. Go back to the Backup page.

    2. Look for Backups Available for Download.

  9. Store it safely:

    1. Save a copy on a separate device/cloud storage.

    2. Keep the file name and date for reference.
